What Nature Teaches Us About Generosity | Dinner & Dialogue (Gastrosophy)
Details
Welcome to Gastrosophy!
This week, we explore what nature teaches us about generosity and reflect on the ideas of gifts, gratitude, and reciprocity.
Gastrosophy is a community gathering that brings people together around good food and meaningful conversation.
Join us this Thursday, June 25th for a fun evening of seasonal, plant-based food and open dialogue at a beautiful Tibetan Buddhist center in the heart of Amsterdam.
Our aim is to create a space where people can slow down, share a meal, and explore life's questions together. Through food, conversation, and community, we seek to deepen our relationship with ourselves, one another, and the natural world.
We'll begin with refreshments and introductions at 18:00.
At 18:30, dinner will be served, prepared by Samantha and Lorenzo, graduates of Slow Food's University in Italy.
Following dinner, we'll briefly introduce the center and its activities. While the gathering is hosted in a Tibetan Buddhist center, people of all backgrounds and beliefs are warmly welcome. No prior interest in Buddhism is required.
After the presentation, around 20:00, we’ll engage in an open dialogue on a pre-chosen topic related to life’s challenges and opportunities. Rather than debate or instruction, the aim is shared inquiry: exploring together as equals.
To help support the venue and cover ingredients and preparation costs, we suggest a donation of €30-40.
Questions or dietary restrictions? We'd be happy to accomodate you. Feel free to contact us at sdellim@umich.edu.
We hope to share a meal with you soon.
Sincerely,
Samantha & Lorenzo
