About us
The Gateway is entering a new chapter.
After the previous organiser stepped down, I unexpectedly (and somewhat accidentally!) became the new organiser, and with that comes a fresh vision and a new name for the group.
While The Gateway previously focused on meditation, lucid dreaming, and creative workshops, the group is now evolving into Gateway Explorers - a space centred around exploration in all its forms. From scenic walks and countryside escapes as well as discovering hidden corners of London, unique venues and creative, themed outings.
Expect a mix of nature and city adventures: countryside routes, beautiful viewpoints, and relaxed day trips, alongside experiences like dining in themed spaces, quirky bars, and creative social gatherings.
At its heart, this group is about stepping out of the everyday - whether that’s through nature, new places, or shared experiences in inspiring settings.
Everyone is welcome - whether you’re new to Meetup or simply looking for something a little different. I look forward to meeting you soon.

We’ll spend about 1 hour exploring the exhibition and browsing Japan House’s cultural displays and shop. Expect an inspiring afternoon of photography, storytelling, and conversation in one of London’s most beautifully curated cultural spaces.
Afterwards, if we have a group of 4 or more, we’ll head to a nearby café, restaurant, or bar for some relaxed conversation and to continue the afternoon together.
Everyone welcome.🙂
- We typically socialise at cafés after the exhibit, nice, independent ones, not chains and not at pubs. If the event is late on a Saturday we go to a nice bar/pub for drinks after. This meetup is inclusive and everyone is welcome to join.
- If get there and you’re not sure what to do or where we are, post a comment on here and I will let you know our whereabouts.
- Once we go in we may separate, feel free to explore the exhibit by yourself, we don’t have to be together. Some people like chatting to others while exploring and other people prefer to be with their own thoughts. You are welcome to express yourself and do what feels mot comfortable.
- If you are late or if you’ve booked for an earlier or later time don’t worry just go in and you’ll find us inside or at the social afterwards. Keep an eye on the comments as I’ll be posting updates.
