Scenic Hike & Picnic: Presidio to Huntington Park

Details
Ready to challenge your legs and soak in incredible views? This urban hike isn’t just a stroll—it’s a moderately strenuous workout with rewarding sights along the way.
We’ll start in the Presidio and tackle a hilly route through some of San Francisco’s most beautiful parks and neighborhoods. Think stair climbs, steady elevation, and strong city vibes.
Planned highlights:
⬆️ Lyon Street Steps (feel the burn)
🌿 Alta Plaza Park (catch your breath with a view)
🏙️ Huntington Park
📸 Scenic stops like Ina Coolbrith Park & Ghirardelli Square
Distance: ~6.4 miles
Time: ~4 hours (including breaks for views and photos)
We generally follow this route.
Difficulty: Moderate – includes staircases and hills
Pack your lunch and water—we’ll pause for a scenic picnic mid-hike! Lace up your comfiest shoes and get ready to sweat a little (in the best way) with fun folks. Sunshine or fog, bring sunscreen, a hat, and dress in layers—classic SF style!
