About us

Scottish Country Dancing is about fun, fitness and friendship. Dancing is normally in a group of eight people and conventionally you have a new partner for each dance whether you've come on your own or with friends. We welcome beginners and more experienced dancers - all you need to bring is a smile (and soft soled shoes).

Our group in central London was formed in 2005 with a focus on inclusivity and pleasant company. The weekly mixed ability class is designed to help attendees participate Scottish Dancing dance events at a socially acceptable level. We (together with our linked groups in Manchester and Edinburgh) affiliated with the Royal Scottish Dance Society in 2012.

We operate as a "not for profit" group run by vounteers with charges set to cover the costs of the venue etc.
