If you’re a gay guy who loves dogs, the ocean, and meeting kind, interesting people, this group is for you.

We’ll explore Fort Funston, one of the Bay Area’s most dog-friendly and social coastal spots. The plan is simple: meet up, walk together along the beach, and then hang out afterward for a relaxed picnic or social time near the lookout.

This is a friendly, low-pressure meetup focused on connection, conversation, and being outdoors together. Dogs are welcome but not required—feel free to come even if you just enjoy them. Come for the walk, stay as long as you like.

Occasionally, for those who are interested, we may include a brief, optional moment of quiet or grounding—sometimes inspired by sympathetic joy (a Buddhist practice of appreciating shared happiness and well-being). Nothing formal, no experience required, and always optional.

2:30 PM: Meet near the hang glider launch area by the main Fort Funston parking lot

Around 2:45 PM: We’ll head down to the beach together for the walk

Look for a small group of guys with dogs—I’ll be there with my dog black Tibetan Terrier named Jampa.

What to bring
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Layers (it can be breezy)
• Water for you and your dog
• A blanket or towel if you’d like to sit afterward
• Optional: something simple to eat or drink to share while hanging out near the lookout

Weather note

If it’s windy or rainy, we’ll shorten the walk and gather at a nearby dog-friendly café or covered spot instead. An update will be posted the morning of the event.
