- Harriman -Sloatsburg to Claudius Smith's DenPennsylvania Station, New York, NY
Let's hike Harriman. We'll do approximately 9 miles over some hills and rocky outcrops. We'll hike to Claudius Smith Den and back to Sloatsburg.
Newbies are welcome but YOU NEED TO BE AEROBICALLY FIT. The trails in Harriman are rocky and steep and it's a long day of hiking.
GEAR: Wear warm layers. If you have a t-shirt that wicks sweat away it will be warmer than a cotton t-shirt. Sturdy hiking boots/shoes as the trails will be rocky. Wool socks keep your feet a lot warmer than cotton. A winter hat is good too. Bring a waterproof shell in case it rains.
