Come Run (a 5k) w/ Google Cloud Run Club & Nikhil Barthwal (GCP Team) @ GoogleDC

Welcome to Cloud Run Club!!

Cloud Run Club is an event for developers to learn about Cloud Run, serverless and container technologies. Attendees will meet Googlers and other community members while getting hands on with Cloud Run. The event will include tech talks, hands-on labs, an optional 5k fun-run and food and drinks.

What is Cloud Run?

Cloud Run is a managed compute platform that enables you to run stateless containers that are invocable via HTTP requests. Cloud Run is serverless: it abstracts away all infrastructure management, so you can focus on what matters most — building great applications. It is built from Knative, letting you choose to run your containers either fully managed with Cloud Run, or in your Google Kubernetes Engine cluster with Cloud Run on GKE.

Special Guest (runner): Nikhil Barthwal - Product Manager, Google Cloud

Nikhil Barthwal is passionate about building distributed systems. He has several years of work experience in both big companies & smaller startups and also acts as a mentor to several startups. Currently, He is Product Manager in the Serverless team for Google Cloud Platform.

The optional fun run is an inclusive, open to all levels, 5k run around the National Mall. Connect with other developers while enjoying a scenic run. You are also more than welcome to stay at Google to continue working on the Qwiklabs course.
