Friends,

Here are the 10 + 1 (Thanks to Baltimore GDG) invites submitted tonight. We had 121 people submitted their ideas, and it is really hard for us to pick the winners. People who did not make it, be after these folks to build great apps, hopefully Google will expnad the program to get Google Glass to more people.

Bikramjit Singh Make 2nd screen applications for use while watching tv to communicate with others that are also watching the same show or game, etc.
Steve Cirelli Create a HUD for private pilots with alerts (such as weather, traffic and etc), GPS plotting on maps and charts.
Rob Heittman Integrate Glass with interactive marketing and games in mobile apps for restaurants, bars and hotels.
Thomas Dalton Make a better app for student note taking, and a waze-like navigation app that highlights your route while identifying hazards or cops in a virtual environment.
Floyd Dukes Make an app for ER staff that would display status and vital information of patients to improve ER efficiency and effectiveness.
Sam Wi Make something with Glass that would interact with building smart sensors and automation systems.
Dolores Farley Create a seamless translator that would pick-up other languages and automatically translate to your native tongue.
Danny W. Pimienta Develop an AR app that shows the user what the location they are looking at how it appeared either during a historical event (think Fords Theater and Lincoln's assassination), in addition to the imagery, pertinent facts will also be displayed. Has potential to change the way field trips are conducted. Also would like to try my hand at translating the pilots flight kit into Glassware.
Nathaniel Waggoner Make spatial awareness applications, incorporating a hand held to create map data, and providing AR functions in the glass by linking the two to one another.
Lorraine Pace Develop an application that would help users to learn another language by creating an augmented reality view of their world. The app would be able to identify objects and overlay the selected language’s translation.
Andy Nunez Write the best darn notification software ever.

Special Thanks to Barbara and Antonio to spread the news and selecting the top entries.

As always, thanks all to keep this energy and enthusiasm brewing in DC..
