Let's Study: "Algorithms"
You asked. We listened. GDG Hudson Valley will run a series of Study sessions (either in person, or over hangouts) to support interactive learning of relevant topics in CS targeting a beginner or intermediate audience. The focus is on acquiring and improving skills that can make a difference in your career. We'll kick things off with a study group on Algorithms, combining structured online content (learning) with impromptu puzzle-solving (exploration). The outcome is to allow you to understand when (and how) to apply algorithms to solve practical problems in everyday life.

What we're about

We are software developers, designers, educators and students with an interest in learning about emergent technologies in areas including (but not limited to) mobile, web, wearables, cloud computing, education technology, data sciences and smart homes.

Our events will be a mixture of Tech talks (lecture-style) that explore concepts and best practices, and GDG Garage events (hack sessions) that involved coding and collaboration.

Our talks may feature Google-developed solutions (e.g., Chrome, Android, AngularJS, Google Glass, Android Wear, Polymer, Google Compute Engine ..) but will also extend to competitive technologies, products and platforms.

Our primary goal is to create networking, collaboration and entrepreneurial connections for technology enthusiasts in the Hudson Valley.
