Are you interested in learning generative AI? Join us for this 5-session online study series with Google Cloud, where we take you onto the journey learning generative AI. You’ll explore the dynamic landscape of Generative AI, gaining both theoretical insights and practical know-how of Google Cloud GenAI tools such as Gemini, Vertex AI and Imagen 3.

You will get free access to Google Cloud Skills Boost and engage in practical exercises to earn the Google Cloud Skills Boost badge, demonstrating your ability to craft effective prompts, guide AI outputs, and deploy Gemini models in real-world marketing scenarios. In addition, you will learn from expert speakers from Google and the community.

In this fourth session, you will learn about data, Gemini and agents. There will be two talks:

1. Build a Smart Shopping Assistant with AlloyDB and Vertex AI Agent Builder - Jason Davenport, Google
2. Intro to Agent Based Applications - Henry Ruiz, ML GDE

The event series are a collaboration by GDG Seattle, GDG Surrey, GDG Vancouver and GDG Burnaby.

Margaret Maynard-Reid - Google Developer Expert (Generative AI)

Margaret Maynard-Reid is an ML engineer, 3D artist and fashion designer. She is recognized as a Google Developer Expert (GDE) in AI and Machine Learning. She is a contributor to open source projects, and she writes, speaks and teaches on AI, art and design. She leads GDG Seattle and Seattle Data/Analytics/Machine Learning.
