Are you interested in learning generative AI? Join us for this 5-session online study series with Google Cloud, where we take you onto the journey learning generative AI. You’ll explore the dynamic landscape of Generative AI, gaining both theoretical insights and practical know-how of Google Cloud GenAI tools such as Gemini, Vertex AI and Imagen 3.

You will get free access to Google Cloud Skills Boost and engage in practical exercises to earn the Google Cloud Skills Boost badge, demonstrating your ability to craft effective prompts, guide AI outputs, and deploy Gemini models in real-world marketing scenarios. In addition, you will learn from expert speakers from Google and the community.

In this final session, you will learn about MLOps. There are two talks:

Talk 1: Auto-ML meets Model Garden: Automating model selection and fine-tuning, by Vino Ravikumar, Microsoft

As AI adoption scales, organizations face challenges in selecting, fine-tuning, and deploying models efficiently. AutoML (Automated Machine Learning) combined with Model Garden offers a powerful paradigm to streamline model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and deployment—allowing businesses to harness AI with minimal manual effort.

This talk will explore:

✅ How AutoML and Model Garden complement each other to automate AI model discovery and adaptation

✅ Techniques for automated model selection, transfer learning, and hyperparameter tuning

✅ Scaling AI workflows with self-improving models using reinforcement learning and meta-learning

✅ Real-world applications of AutoML-driven model curation in enterprises

✅ Future trends: How Model Garden can evolve into an intelligent AI ecosystem with AutoML

By the end of this session, attendees will gain insights into how AutoML and Model Garden together can revolutionize AI model deployment, making AI more accessible.

Talk 2: Responsible AI in the age of LLMs, by ML GDE Vikram Tiwari

How have LLMs changed the way we think about responsible AI. From training these models to their outputs and how can we do better.

The event series are a collaboration by GDG Seattle, GDG Surrey, GDG Vancouver and GDG Burnaby.

The five sessions of the study series are:

1/22/2025 - Session #1 - Intro to GenAI on Google Cloud
2/5/2025 - Session #2 - Deep Dive: Image Generation, Vector Search, Embeddings, RAG
2/19/2025 - Session #3 - Building Apps: Gemini, GenAI Agents
3/5/2025 - Session #4 - AI Agents
3/19/2025 - Session #5 - Deployment: Model Garden, MLOps, Responsible AI
