Mission Briefing: Way Back Home | The Weekend Sprint
Details
The Situation
Your identity is confirmed, but you are still stranded. The planetary surface is vast, your ship’s systems are fractured, and an incoming solar storm is narrowing your window for rescue. It’s time to stop being a survivor and start being an Architect of Autonomy.
The Mission
In this high-intensity, 4-hour workshop, we are moving beyond simple prompts. You will build a sophisticated network of Autonomous AI Agents to analyze your crash site, coordinate with other survivors, and ultimately launch a coordinated drone escape.
The Objective: 5 Levels, 1 Goal
We will be sprinting through the core of the Way Back Home curriculum:
Level 1 (Location): Build a multi-agent system using MCP servers to pinpoint your coordinates on the 3D globe.
Level 2 (SOS): Implement Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication to process incoming signals from other survivors.
Level 3 (Rescue): Master Agent Orchestration to manage complex, multi-step rescue workflows.
Level 4 (Repair): Use Multimodal Streaming (Video/Audio) to identify ship parts and retrieve technical schematics in real-time.
Level 5 (Escape): Deploy a Drone Formation Controller using event-driven logic to lead your fleet home.
The Tech Stack
You’ll be getting hands-on experience with the same tools used by top-tier AI engineers:
AI Models: Gemini 2.5 Flash & Veo 3.1
Frameworks: Google ADK & Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Cloud Infrastructure: Google Cloud Run, Firestore, & Vertex AI
Real-time Systems: Redis & Kafka event streams
Prerequisites
Please bring a laptop.
Completion of Level 0: Your environment must be verified and your avatar must be live on the map.
High Energy: This is a 4-hour sprint. We provide the mission; you provide the code.
Python: A working knowledge of Python is easier for the agent logic.
🏆 The Outcome
By the end of this session, you won’t just be using AI—you’ll be orchestrating it. You will leave with a deep understanding of how to build autonomous systems that can see, hear, and collaborate to solve real-world (and out-of-this-world) problems.
The rescue window is opening. Will you be ready to lead the way back home?
