Code For Dayton

Code For Dayton is a monthly user group meeting at the downtown Dayton Innovation Hub. The meetings follow the "hack night" format - a little discussion and show and tell up front, followed by an opportunity to break into groups to work on civic or community oriented projects.

We'll continue on with the project we've been working for the last two meetings; the Rental Property Registry. Over the past two meetings, we brainstormed an approach, re-built our geocoder (https://github.com/codefordayton/geocoder) and built our scraper to pull the updates on a regular basis (https://github.com/codefordayton/property_owner_accountability). Coming up this month, we will look at connecting the dots: geocoding our results from the scraper, and putting the results on a web map.
