Summer is here, and it's time to take the tech talk outdoors! Join GemCITY.TECH for our annual Summer Picnic—a relaxed, potluck-style gathering where we can connect, unwind, and enjoy great food and company.

## What to Expect

🌞 Outdoor Fun & Networking Take a break from screens and enjoy some fresh air while meeting fellow members of the Dayton tech community.
🍔 Potluck Style Bring your favorite dish to share! Whether it's a family recipe, store-bought snacks, or your famous BBQ creation—all contributions are welcome and appreciated.
🎮 Games & Activities Lawn games, casual conversations, and a chance to get to know the people behind the GitHub profiles.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Friendly Feel free to bring your family! This is a community event for everyone.

We’re inviting you and your family/friends to come out and enjoy good food, great company, and a laid-back summer environment at our Annual Picnic! Whether you’re new to the group or a familiar face, we’d love to see you there.
🗓 Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025
🕓 Time: 11AM – 2PM
📍 Location: Hills & Dales MetroPark, Olmsted Shelter
🍴 What to Expect:

• Delicious potluck picnic food, starring Ben Callahan’s Famous Brisket
• Community fun for both extroverts and introverts alike
• Great people/company

💬 Bring:

• Yourself (and feel free to bring family and/or friends!)
• Any outdoor games you'd love to share
• If you’d like to contribute to the potluck, please add your item(s) to this spreadsheet as a way of reducing duplication and possible waste by seeing what others' are planning to bring.

This is a great chance to relax and connect outside of our usual work/events. Come out and spend your Saturday afternoon with a great community!
