Hi all! If you are up for some R&B, Kingston Mines is worth checking out!
Their motto: “Hear Blues – Drink Booze – Talk Loud – You’re Among Friends!” ™
“Founded in 1968, Kingston Mines is the largest and oldest continuously operating blues club in Chicago. Its two stages have been graced by the likes of Magic Slim, Koko Taylor, Sugar Blue, Billy Branch, Junior Wells, Mike Wheeler, Joanna Connor, and scores of other musical greats.”
It looks like Sheryl Youngblood (North stage) and Stephen Hall (Main stage) will be playing on March 7.
I’ll get there early to get some seats. If anyone else can come early too, that would be great!

Some useful info from their website:
The cover charge is $20.00 on Friday and Saturday. The seating is general admission (no reservations).
A current, valid photo ID is required to get into the club – please make sure you bring your ID with you.
You may buy tickets in advance or pay when you arrive. If you purchase advance tickets, please bring your confirmation with you. Buying tickets in advance does not guarantee seats – it is best to arrive early.
Show start times:
- Main Stage: 7:30 (acoustic set), 10:30pm, 12:30am, 2:30am - North Stage: 9:30pm, 11:30pm, 1:30am, 3:30am

The two bands alternate playing on their respective stages during the night.
They serve food
They accept credit cards
Nearby parking is somewhat limited. Last time I was there, I was able to get one on Spot-Hero for not much money.
