Details
I am happy to introduce our 33rd session titled Spirituality and Psychology: Their connection with each other. As of now, our meeting place is the Crowned Eagle (see address for full location). Here, same a atmosphere and vibrant community will welcome you to the event and I hope you
can attend! The meeting will take place on May 5 at 18:45 - 20:45.
Introduction to the topic - Are spirituality and psychology connected? Psychology is cited as the study of the mind first and foremost while spirituality focuses much closer on the soul and the subtle. The mind and consciousness are subtle things and they are both quite close to the human spirit. Through this, one could even say that psychology and spirituality are related to each other. In fact, many popular and important theories of psychology initially arose through people contemplating the spiritual dimensions of things. Notable figures in psychology, such as Carl Jung and Abraham Maslow, derived much of their thinking from spiritual considerations. In the end, while their aims and methods might differ somewhat, psychology and spirituality share an undeniable connection to each other through many common roots.
In this session, we will explore this connection and its many manifestations. We will consider the self, the mind, the soul, and more from both the psychological and spiritual perspectives. For example, how can we understand "behaviour" from psychology as the manifestation of specific energies from within ourselves? Or what example is consciousness and how do we define it in both worlds? These types of gripping questions will be at the forefront of this session, so I hope you can join us for this exciting discussion!
Our agenda for this event is as follows:
