Bike Swarm to the XXL Picnic (Westerpark) [communities gathering]

This Saturday, Geografiets joins the XXL Picnic in Westerpark: a large collaborative event bringing together Meetup communities from across Amsterdam.

We'll cycle (14km) in a swarm from Amsterdam Central Station to Westerpark, making scenic stops in Oosterpark and Vondelpark along the way to regroup and meet up with participants joining from there. There’s no participant limit for this ride, everyone is welcome. The more, the merrier!

Start location
We’ll gather from 14:00 on the boulevard at the north side of Amsterdam Central Station, right by the IJ waterfront.
Schedule

• 14:00 – Meet at the IJ-side boulevard of Amsterdam Central Station
• 14:30 – Start cycling towards Oosterpark
• 15:00 – Regroup and pick up new participants in Oosterpark, then continue to Vondelpark
• 15:30 – Regroup and pick up new participants in Vondelpark, then cycle to Westerpark
• 16:00 – Arrive at Westerpark and join the XXL Picnic!

What to bring

• A working bike
• A picnic blanket or something to sit on
• Snacks and drinks (the picnic is BYOB: bring your own beverages/food)
• Optional: games, musical instruments, or whatever you're good in!

• Most importantly: a relaxed, sociable spirit

This is a great opportunity to explore Amsterdam by bike, meet people from across communities, and enjoy a laid-back summer afternoon together. Come ride and unwind with us!
