Come unwind with us with an afternoon hike up Kennesaw Mountain!
Meet: 5:30 PM at the Kennesaw Mountain Visitors Center by the Cannon
Distance: Approximately 2.2 miles round trip
Difficulty: Moderate-Difficult in places
We'll hike up the mountain using the trail, taking our time and enjoying the views along the way. After reaching the top, we'll make our way back down via the mountain road.
This is a good hike for anyone who enjoys a little challenge without committing to a long-distance hike. The trail has some steep sections, so expect to get your heart rate up!
### How to Prepare
Proper Hydration is highly recommended starting THE DAY PRIOR to the hike.
### What to bring
- Good-quality sneakers or hiking shoes — please don't wear casual shoes with smooth soles.
- Water — bring enough to stay hydrated for the hike.
We'll stay together as a group and take breaks as needed. The goal is to get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and have a good time!
After the hike we'll all head over to Johnny's Pizza to get a bite to eat! (1635 old Hwy 41 NW)
Parking is available at the visitors center or the overflow parking lot located at 1200 Old 41 Hwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152
There is a fee for parking. You can pay at the park (NO CASH) or online
