Kayak the Augusta Canal

20 September, Saturday 9:30am. Kayak the Augusta Canal. Beginners welcome! Easy 7 miles. Paddle with us as we go down the Augusta Canal from the Savannah Rapids Pavilion to Lake Olmstead. Paddle begins at 9:30am. The shuttle back to Savannah Rapids cost $10 per person with boat. If you don’t have a kayak, they are available for rental at Savannah Rapids Kayak Rental www.kayakaugustacanal.com . Participants must make their own kayak rental reservations in advance. Sorry, no inflatable kayaks. Life jackets and whistles are required. Bring water, snack, and sunscreen. We will meet at the Savannah River Pavilion Kayak launch next to the Kayak Rental, 7 Savannah Rapids Trail, Martinez, GA 30907 at 9:30am. Limit 13 boats.
