Kennesaw Mountain 16.3 Full Loop Challenge Hike

Details
Enjoy late Spring views as we walk through the historic Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park on a full loop trail combining Big and Little Kennesaw Mountain, Pigeon Hill, and the Kolb Farm Loop. With considerable distance and elevation gains it is considered challenging/difficult, taking about 6-7.5 hours. My hiking speed is 2.1-2.9 mph. Bring water, snacks, and lunch.
My hiking style is slow and steady, taking periodic snack breaks, a lunch break, and enjoying our surroundings. We'll start at the Kennesaw Mountain Visitor's Center (parking is $5 without a National Parks pass) and head out to the top of Kennesaw Mountain. Give yourself time to park as this parking lot tends to fill up and there is an overflow lot .3 miles on Old 41 Pkwy—requiring a walk to visitor Centsr. Optional meal/dinner afterward at either Marietta Square or on Barrett Parkway.
This will be my last training hike before my summer long-trail hikes. -'Cosmo'/Valerie
