THAI CULTURAL EVENT!
OUTDOOR AND INDOOR!

There is plenty of time to plan your schedule to make it work if you are interested and fit in this event. It is suggested that you join from the beginning to the end. Or you would miss out on things that you may want to learn in this culture. And that it is appropriate to do so. Good karma!

PURPOSE:
GAG is NOT THE ORGANIZER! We are sharing what good and positive that represents inner peace, friendship and kindness. Please remain calm and respectful at all times.

This is a public event that is not advertised on commercials but we get updates from by U.S. mail and, at times, word-to-word from a long-term friendship with the the temple. It is not for ratings, IT IS A GIVEN. Because you are SPIRITUAL, open-minded and culture-oriented, wanting to learn new experiences, getting in touch with inner peace, and running your living with positivity, this special event is right for you. Siam or Thailand is called, "The Land of Smiles". Do show up with a lot of smiles.

AGENDA:
They start at 8 a.m. The monks begin their usual chanting.
You are welcome to be there early wandering around and checking out the place.
10:00 a.m.🙏 Meet inside the main hall (right in the middle of the temple). Time to close your eyes like you are doing the meditation. DO NOT TALK LOUDLY. If possible, while passing monks, do bend your back a little to show respect.
10:30 a.m. We leave the building to a large shelter. Food offerings (make merit) to monks (more to this word, no way to translate this session into one short word). People make FRESH Thai food along with fresh desserts and or fruits from home to make merit as a tradition (hundreds of years' history) at the temple. To get deeper in this session, you may study a little more in your own time.
11:00 a.m. 🙏 Monks are served. Complimentary food for everyone, self-service.
12:30 p.m. 🙏 Back to chanting meditation style for candlelight ceremony. They got chairs and you do not need to sit on the floor. Be ready for water blessings sprinkled over your head. End of ceremony.

PARKING: FREE
DRESS CODE: Many people will be wearing traditional costumes. Either you find something traiditional OR simply NO for shorts, short skirts, top with deep cuts, inappropriate outfit of any kinds. Long Dress, Pants or Jeans are acceptable or wear something comfortable. This is not a rule but the guidance to your respect as a person. Good karma! You come with the heart and you may make a few mistakes for the first time, noone is going to yell at you.
MARKET: Inexpensive plants, Thai Food, souvenirs, etc. USE CASH ONLY.
DONATIONS: Non-profit organizations run at no incomes but people's contributions. I donate some $ that ends in number "9" that means "Moving/Stepping Forward, A Progress, and A Lucky Number". There will be white envelopes for your cash donations.

HERE ARE THE RULES:
It is good karma to be considerate of others for sure. Even great karma to be kind as a symbol of your strength. However, when you sign up, plan to commit to it. This might as well be an adventure of your life experience. If you do not want to come anymore or become a no-show, you will be placed as a "No-Show" that goes into the "Removal List". Such an event of peace, we hope that we do not need to set any rules at all. However, once you make the decision to come, you are expected to be there or you would wonder that people are waiting for you and be concerned of it. Time wasting and giving a chance to those MUCH late by choice or without a notice or as No-Shows was something we do not want from anyone. You may carry on bad behaviors or habits and it will be your own karma! "KARMA" (Kharma) means DEEDS (Good karma, bad karma)!
