We foster cultural exchange and business relations among the German-American and Californian business, media and technology communities. We organize fun events every couple of weeks, and everybody interested in German culture, language or people or is involved in any kind of transatlantic business is welcome to attend. GABA has chapters in Northern and Southern California, Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

MARINE EVE - Stammtisch San Diego at Cavu Brewery and Restaurant

Join #GABASocal for a Marine Evening Stammtisch November 20th, from 6:00-9:00 PM at CAVU Brewery, La Jolla ! GABA is hosting three speakers who spend most of their workdays with the marine wildlife in the San Diego waters. Each talk will focus on different geographical areas and the animals there. Enjoy an educational evening, learn more about San Diego&'s marine wildlife, and make new friends. Guest Speakers: Michael Timm (@dive_california) Michael Timm Michael has over 35 years of diving experience. He is currently the only certified PADI free dive instructor trainer on the U.S. West Coast. Michael knows the astonishing La Jolla underwater world by heart and will take us on a journey with his incredible footage to see La Jolla Cove and meet the shores inhabitants. Domenic Biagini (@dolphindronedom) Domenic and his outstanding footage of San Diegos whales has been featured several times in international news worldwide. The wildlife drone photographer is an expert in SoCal's marine wildlife and has encountered a great variety of whale and dolphin species around San Diego, including the largest animal in the world - the blue whale. He will talk about these amazing animals. Lalo Saidy (@sharkphotography_lalosaidy) Lalo has over 16 years of experience working on great white shark cage diving vessels of which one is located in San Diego. He and his footage have been featured in TV documentaries like National Geo Wild and Shark Week. Not as many people come as close as him to taking incredible pictures of great white sharks. His work contributes to science in an effort to change the perception of sharks and help with conservation of this threatened ocean predator. Program Talks will start 6.30pm; each talk is about 15 minutes with short breaks in between, followed by networking and get together. Late arrivals are welcome to join anytime.
