Let’s break in a new ride the right way.
I’m expecting my Moto Guzzi soon (timing TBD), and when it lands, we’re taking it out for a proper first run—cruising from the I-270 corridor up to the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown, WV.
This is an easygoing, scenic ride—nothing aggressive, just good roads, good company, and a solid destination at the end. Think winding backroads, river views, and pulling up to a spot that feels like a mini European escape.

The plan (loosely):

  • Meet somewhere along the I-270 corridor (exact spot TBD)
  • Group ride up through MD non highway into WV
  • Lunch / drinks at Bavarian Inn
  • Ride back (or break off at your own pace)

Who this is for:

  • Riders of all experience levels (as long as you’re comfortable in a group ride)
  • Anyone who appreciates a relaxed pace over a fast one
  • People who just want to get out, ride, and reset for a few hours

Notes:

  • Full gear strongly encouraged
  • We’ll keep formation simple and safe
  • Weather dependent (we’re not heroes)

Mostly…this is about getting out of the house, enjoying the road, and marking the arrival of a new bike the way it should be.
