Myakka River State Park is one of Florida's largest and most diverse natural areas. One of Florida's Wild and Scenic rivers, the Myakka River flows through 57 square miles of wetlands, prairies, hammocks, and pinelands. The river and its two shallow lakes attract a myriad of wetland creatures, making birding, canoeing, fishing, and wildlife observation popular activities. This is one of the most beautiful parks in Florida featuring a tree canopy over most of the park, nine walking trails, and scenic 3-10 mile bike trails. An elevated boardwalk traverses an old-growth cypress swamp. The park still preserves a scenic, virgin hardwood forest. The sharp-eyed wildlife observer can catch a glimpse of whitetail deer and alligators almost every day. For a fascinating look at various areas, the park offers nine separate nature trails, including the popular catwalk through a cypress swamp.

We have a full schedule of events and activities for the weekend, plus time to relax at your leisure. We will be bringing bicycles or they can be rented at the park. We will also be hiking these fabulous trails.

Cost per tent (not per person) is $115.00, which includes food and water for 1 person (Friday dinner, Saturday all meals, Sunday breakfast), plus fire wood. An additional person staying in the same tent pays $55.

Please note that from now on to help reduce landfill waste and protect our beautiful outdoors there is elect everyone will be required to bring their own re-usable plates, utensils, and cups. Very inexpensive sets at Walmart. 🍽️
