Bike Ride at Markham Park

Everyone must stop at the office to sign there waviers before meeting at the bike trail

Helmets are required. Elbow and knee guards optional although we will be mostly on double track and outer perimeter roads. Most of the single track trails in Markham are intermediate to advanced so we will skip most of those. We will try a few of the easier trails and those with by passes that skip advanced features. Then if anyone is interested in trying some more advanced trails I will show u some of those. Again, watching short video and signing the waiver is mandatory pre ride and u must have a helmet to ride at Markham.

There's approximately 10 miles if you follow all the trails available. Conditions vary depending on which portion of the trail you're on. What you're actually riding on is the fill left from when they originally dug the lakes in the park, so conditions go from rocky in some areas to hard packed sand in the forested areas. For the majority though I'd say the trails are nicely packed sand.

There are trails and easy ones for fun. Great place to spend a day riding with the friends. Seeing rc planes fly over you is awesome. Once your done riding you an go watch the planes.
We will be riding along the trails that are easy and also riding in the park on the roads about 10 miles

Maps & Directions

From I-95 or Florida's Turnpike, take I-595 westbound, then veer right at the I-75 split to exit at the next ramp for Weston Road. The park entrance is on the right (north) at the Weston Road intersection.

From I-75, take I-595 eastbound. Exit on Flamingo Road (exit #1B) and make a U-turn under I-595 to go west on State Road 84. Go past N.W. 136th Avenue. The park entrance is on the right (north) at the Weston Road intersection.
