What we’re about
Dear Overcomers,
We are a community of people who believe that persons struggling with mental health concerns are the seekers of their own recovery journey.
We wholeheartedly believe that recovery is for everyone, and that anyone can be a source of support to others walking the journey.
As a peer-led organization, we value lived experiences as an indispensable form of expertise. We believe that recovery in a community setting is best achieved when peers and professionals collaborate on impactful programmes.
In the coming years, we hope to empower and mentor more persons-in-recovery to use their strengths in service for both the mental health community and broader society.
The purpose for this platform is to provide a safe peer learning community for us to share with one another without fear, rejected or judgement, and learn from one another how we cope with daily challenges. I believe that everyone has a story to share and your story is valuable for our learning.
This Meetup is for people who are going through a rough patch in their lives and in the process for their recovery journeys:
+ to get together and support one another
+ to learn new coping skills
+ to develop healthy relationships with themselves and others
+ to find hope and purpose in life
YOU ARE NOT ALONE in this community.
I believe in helping the members to live a more vibrant life though engagement of your talents and interests.
We have formed different Activity Groups based on the interests:
1) Sports
2) Creative Arts
3) Music & Singing (Karaoke & Music Jamming)
4) Drama Training Class
All these activity groups are peer-led.
To join us as a member, we would appreciate that you fill up the questions first.
We are here to support one another to learn and grow together as a community. I would appreciate your participation in the future events.
