NYC Gifted Adults Social

NYC Gifted Adults Social is a community for intellectually curious, intense, and high-depth adults who often experience the world a little differently.
This group is not about IQ scores, achievement, or proving that you are smarter than anyone else. It is about the lived experience that can come with giftedness: thinking deeply, noticing more, questioning assumptions, having strong curiosity, experiencing intensity, and sometimes struggling to find people who operate at a similar level of depth.
Our meetups are relaxed social gatherings built around conversation. We may explore topics such as intelligence, creativity, psychology, relationships, identity, consciousness, work, giftedness, neurodivergence, and whatever interesting questions emerge from the group.
You do not need a formal gifted diagnosis or IQ test to join. If the experience described below strongly resonates with you, you are welcome.
The goal is simple: bring together people who rarely get enough opportunities to meet each other.

• High cognitive depth
  You naturally look beneath the surface and want to understand mechanisms, patterns, assumptions, and meaning.
• High-resolution thinking
  You notice nuance, contradictions, subtle distinctions, and connections that others may overlook.
• Strong metacognition
  You think about your own thinking and frequently examine your beliefs, reactions, and mental models.
• Intellectual intensity
  When something interests you, you may go very deep rather than engaging with it casually.
• Wide-ranging curiosity
  Your interests may jump across psychology, science, technology, philosophy, consciousness, art, society, or completely unrelated fields.
• Need for meaningful conversation
  Small talk is fine, but you tend to come alive when conversations become exploratory, unusual, personal, or intellectually challenging.
• A sense of being somewhat out of sync
  You may have spent parts of your life feeling difficult to categorize, under-stimulated, overly intense, or simply unable to find enough people you naturally click with.
