About us
A weekly focus group council for women in Melbourne's south-east who are building something.
A business. A side project. A creative practice. An idea that will not leave you alone.
The Founders Council is a small, recurring gathering where women who are in the process of building come together, not to just network, not to just present, not to perform progress — but to actually move forward. Together.
Every week a seat at the table is yours. What you do with it is up to you.
What happens in the room
Each session follows a simple structure. Anyone who wants to bring something to the council gets a slot, a problem they are stuck on, a decision they cannot make, a pitch they want to test, an idea that needs outside eyes. The group responds honestly. Not with advice you have to take. With questions, reactions, and perspectives from women who are in the same season of building.
You close by naming the one thing you are doing before next week. Said out loud to the group. That is the accountability.
Then the rest of the session is open, conversation, connection, the kind of honest talk that only happens when you are in a room with people who actually get it.

You do not have to share
You can come every week and never bring something to the council. You can sit at the table, listen, contribute your perspective to someone else's problem, and leave having given something real without having to be vulnerable yourself. That seat is just as valuable.
Come once. Come every week. No commitment required. The door is always open.

What this is not
Not a networking event where you exchange business cards and never speak again.
Not a workshop where someone teaches you something.
Not a co-working space where you sit in silence next to strangers.
Not a pitch competition where you are judged.
Not a group where you have to be at a certain stage to belong.

What connects everyone in the room
You are building something and you are doing it mostly alone. You know the feeling of being in your head about something for weeks that a single honest conversation could have resolved in ten minutes. You want to be around women who are doing the same kind of work — not because misery loves company, but because proximity to people who are building makes you build.
That is the room. That is the council.
Started by Veronika — Bayside local, and someone who knows firsthand what it feels like to be building something in isolation and how much a room like this can change.
Come as you are. Bring what you have. Leave with something real.
