It’s been a while so it’s time for our next workshop! Are you aching to build a game with JavaScript? Great, ‘cause that’s exactly what we’ll do at this meetup! To be more exact: we’ll build a shooter game and we’ll be shooting duckies!
So come and bring your laptop! This workshop will be aimed at beginners, so you don’t need any coding experience. If it’s a little too low level for you, you are of course welcome to still come and code on your own stuff or help another Girl Coder out (and as you know: Girl Coders can also be guys ;-) ).
PS Please install a text editor e.g. Sublime (https://www.sublimetext.com/) before the event

Girl Code meets NYCDA
I (Ineke, Girl Code founder) started the full-time web development intensive JavaScript course last September at NYCDA. The open-source lifestyle typical for coders is alive and kicking here: sharing is caring. We code together, we game together and we watch movies together. And as I thus think learning to code here is really cool, I find it extremely awesome we’re joining forces in organizing the next Girl Code Meetup together :-)
The New York Code + Design Academy is a technology education provider with a mission to make learning to code accessible to all. Founded in 2012, NYCDA provides intensive full-time and evening part-time courses (https://nycda.com/courses) for adults, and classes for kids and teens. At NYCDA you can learn to code or level up your skills. Learn here, Code anywhere! They’re not only located in New York, but also in other places like Amsterdam! For more information just shoot Manouk Meilof a message!
