7:30pm - More time to connect with our speakers and the community.

Abstracts and speaker bios:

"GitLab together with GKE"
Cloud native applications are the future of software development. Container-packaged, dynamically managed, and microservice-oriented, cloud native systems enable faster development velocity while maintaining operational stability.

From issue tracking and source code management to CI/CD and monitoring, having it all in one place simplifies toolchain complexity and speeds up cycle times. With a built-in container registry and Kubernetes integration, GitLab makes it simple to get started with containers and cloud native development and to optimize your cloud app development processes.

Speaker Bio:
Tye Davis is an evangelist and Technical Marketing Engineer at GitLab. Tye’s background is rooted in agile and DevOps transformation with over 10 years of experience. With roles as a Solution Architect, Product Marketing, and Product Management, he has worked closely with many Fortune 500 companies as they move towards becoming more agile and implementing DevOps best practices.

"GitLab Deployment on Kubernetes: lessons learned and best practices"
Raphael Londner will showcase the integration of the GitLab Helm chart into a sandbox, containerized environment built as part of thePure Storage CI/CD reference architecture. Beyond the lessons learned through the initial deployment, Raphael will also demo how leveraging GitLab’s APIs allowed him to automate the configuration of GitLab with repositories and webhooks, making a transition to GitLab from existing Git-based products smooth and transparent.

Speaker Bio:
Raphael Londner is a DevOps specialist at Pure Storage. With more than 15 years of experience in the high-tech industry, he has extensive knowledge of software development tools, DevOps best practices and cloud-native technologies.
