
What we’re about
Giving & Receiving is a community where we practice supporting each other, and ourselves.
By learning how to give support, you also learn how to support yourself. This is an inclusive space focused on real connection, practical skills, and a safe environment to practice those skills together.
All kinds of sharing are welcome here - struggles, problems, doubts, hard moments. But it’s not all dark or heavy. We also learn how to give and receive positive things:
- How do you share good news without guilt?
- How do you feel genuinely happy for others?
- Can you receive a compliment without minimizing it?
- Can you accept that someone sees you in a positive light, and let that be true?
This group is highly therapeutic, grounded, and human because it is interactive and active participation is encouraged. You'll learn and apply, and see how it works immediately. And you’ll meet people who genuinely care even though you've just met.
We don’t get defeated by what happens to us. We get defeated when we start believing we’re not worthy of victory.
We may come from different cultures, nationalities, genders, and life experiences but human to human, we’ve all been hurt, misunderstood, and challenged. We’re far more similar than we think.
