Gritty Glenwood Graveler 2025 (2 dayer)

Meet downtown behind Brown Cycles, 7 am, Sunday June 7th.

Day 1.
Ride north on 25 Road to the Bookcliffs. Hike with bike up the Tellirico Trail to the top of the Book Cliffs. Pedal the Ute Indian trail, to V 2/10 to Debeque. Cross I 70, Sunnyside to V Rd over Battlement Mesa and drop into Collbran. Overnight stay at Alpine Hotel in Collbran (make reservations). About 80 miles.

Day 2.
Breakfast at Collbran Cafe 7 am, Pedal the Silt Cutt-off to Glenwood. (See map above) About 60 miles. Glenwood Pool. Amtrack back to GJ 2:45 pm (reserve Amtrack train tickets - about $25.00. Bike will go in bike rack in baggage car) 5 pm back in downtown GJ.

This ride is 50/50 dirt road/paved. The first day is challenging with the schlep up the Bookcliffs (about an hour hike-a-bike.) The views are spectacular and worth it. Riders could also meet at different locations along the route and join in. Bring 3-4 bottles o water. Snacks in Debeque.
