Coal Canyon From Palisade (half gravel)

Details
We'll ride from our house out North River Road, then 1 short mile on I-70 (it's not scary), then up Coal Canyon. The Coal Canyon part is fine for a gravel bike. I usually let some air out when I get to the dirt part. We'll only go to the intersection with the Hoodoo trail (after that it's too sandy/soft for gravel bike)
This is the route: https://www.strava.com/activities/13718486468
We'll plan to go at a modest pace. It will probably take us about 3 hours total.
(Nancy is coming and doesn't want to ride the highway, so she's going to meet us at 7:20 near the shooting range. If anybody else wants to do that they can, and she has room for 2 extra bikes on the car if you want to ride with her from our house. Exit I-70 at exit 45 (Cameo), the one where Kokopelli Farms is. Head north on the main road toward the shooting range. Cross the river, then just after you cross the railroad tracks, and just before crossing the canal, there's a wide dirt parking spot on the right. Park there and start from there.
