Club Ride: Guise In Ties - Bike Path Social Ride Monument Ride/Read n Hike

Club Ride is a club within the Cyclepaths club. Guise in Ties is that month's sub-club. This is a series of social rides, 2-3 a month, that focus on social and themed ride aspects of cycling. Instead of a good cycling club lasting forever, we are going to kill it after a few rides and start up a new one the next month. Possible options for the next monthly clubs are The Acadamy of Fists and The Sandwich Rides.

Open to all, but leave your testosterone lined water bottles at home.

This one will leave Brown Cycles back parking lot at 8 am Sunday, Sept 21st and ride to the East entrance of the Monument via the bike path. At the Monument we will chain our steeds to a Cedar Tree and hike Devils Kitchen (about an hour hike) . Any rickety old bike is encouraged. 3 speeds n 5 speeds will get you more street cred. Nickers and bonnets will take it over the top. Think tweed ride. Ties are available and will be on hand for those that don't show up with them.
Let's face it. We are cyclists of honor, ties become us.

Bring a lock but leave the gold-plated silver at home.
During the hike we will do a ride and read. Please bring some inspirational words - poem, story, Haiku, spin a yarn, or something to share with the group. Think Dead Poets Society - ya, just like that. But not Dead Poets, Guise in Ties.
