I don't shoot Raw and I don't shoot in "M", but I do know why f/2 is a much larger aperture than f/16, because that is important. (The meeting cover photo hopefully shows you that!) Let's start by learning how the aperture is key, is king, is the Master of Photography.
We will practise with flowers in the Pollok House garden.
The Met Office is predicting sunshine and light rain, both. You see, the Met Office is never wrong!

This is a continuation of last week's meeting. We will continue to learn that the aperture is key, is king, is the Master of Photography.
We will practise with flowers.
The plan is to photograph some flowers sharply and have the background blurred. So we will use the largest aperture possible. A longer lens is better for this than a wide-angle lens (they tend to get everything in focus).
Moreover, we will try to keep the background dark as well as blurry. We will be seeking to create "separation". And all without Photoshop!
