What we’re about

'I am a woman with wings,' I once wrote and will revise these words again. 'I am a woman with wings dancing with other women with wings.' In a voiced community, we all flourish ― Terry Tempest Williams

Women have been meeting in circle since the dawn of humanity. It is our birthright. It is part of our Womanhood. A Hallowed Tree is a women’s circle, a place to belong within a supportive and welcoming community. Together we will celebrate each other in all our many facets, we go inward to retrieve our spark, learn from our shadows, and reclaim our Sistership. Our Circles will be the spark that carries your light to shine brighter in the world, unapologetically!

Circle by circle, we will show up more fully ourselves. To support and empower. To be held and inspired. To explore our own unique inner wisdom. Such is the beauty of being a woman, in constant transformation like a phoenix: fire and ash, dark and light, and all that’s in between.

We will hold space for each other and ourselves to feel seen and heard. This is a sacred and powerful way to gather and live inspired. We are not looking to fix or solve whatever is going on in our lives. But we will strip down social expectations and rules imposed on us that prevent us from living in our true colours as we bravely show up as we are.

“Being in circle is a learning and growing experience that draws upon the wisdom and experience, commitment, and courage of each one in it.” Jean Shinoda Bolen

Who should join? This circle is for all of you who identify as women, looking to build community and connection, through love and joy, even, and especially when you feel less love and less joy in life. This is for you if you want to deepen into your inner life, your essence or soul, feel inspired and energised for life; if you want to feel held and hold space for other women, and in turn, explore the wisdom within and shine together.

What will we do in our circles? In our circles, expect to have moments of meditation and visualisation, moments of sharing from the heart, journaling, moments of nourishing silence and ritual, and moments of inspiration fuelled by nature and different forms of art: objects, poetry, and music, for example. Be open to bring an open heart and gather in grace, honouring who we are individually and together.
