SCHIEHALLION - Moderate/Strenuous (joint walk with Glasgow Young Walkers)

Details
SCHIEHALLION - Moderate/Strenuous Hillwalk
This joint walk with Fife and Glasgow Young Walkers, will take you up one of Scotland's best known hills, Schiehallion, one of the easiest Munros to climb, it takes the form of a broad ridge, with its famous conical appearance.
NB Numbers are capped at 14, as there will be a similar number coming from Glasgow YW! We also have to comply with Ramblers ratios, and it would be inappropriate and risky to take too large a group up such a popular Munro!
As per the Walk Highlands route...
Meeting point: Braes of Foss OVERSPILL carpark 0.5km east along Schiehallion road. Open in Google Maps. (Link takes you to small original car park, please park 1/2km east, before this location
Meeting time: 09.30am
Distance: 10km/6 miles
Ascent: 750m
Duration: 6 hours approx
Terrain: Good paths with generally moderate gradients. The route is initially steep and has rough pathless sections on the summit.
