About us
Welcome to our community!!! We are a group of new and long-time friends from all over the world (usually 5 continents every night), who come together to hang out, listen to music or have a Dance Party, play games, or just chat and chill out :-). Don't worry if you are shy or awkward or your English is not perfect. We want to meet you and listen to what you have to say.
We commit to be positive and kind, and we agree to leave our problems and negativity behind during the meeting. Expect friendly conversations from the trivial to the profound, but no heated arguments or criticism of persons.
Boring Details:
- Obey the instructions of the Hosts and Co-hosts. Only persons at least 18 years old may be in GFC events.
- Behave with Kindness, Positivity, Respect, and member Safety.
Kindness:
- Be kind, generous, friendly, accepting, and considerate.
- Avoid triggering others.
- Keep things generally G-rated and suitable for work, avoid cursing.
- Be patient with others. Remember that we are from different cultures, languages, and backgrounds.
- If you are offended, calmly ask for help. GFC Hosts and Co-hosts are here to help.
Positivity:
- Be generally positive. If a member had a bad day or a bad date, it is ok to share and let the rest of us sympathize and maybe cheer them up. But then let’s move on to something else.
- Discussions of the war and violence in the Middle East are Banned.
- Discussions that get bogged down and start to bore or annoy others will be redirected.
Respect:
- Respect all members, including their diversity of race, religion, gender, area of origin, neurodiversity, &etc. Derogatory statements, even jokes, are not allowed.
- Often a simple apology and a change of behavior is sufficient to cure a problem.
- Let everyone talk, comment, and share. Do not interrupt or hog the conversation or talk more than is polite, or resist a change in the topic of conversation.
- Do not criticize another person’s religion or faith. You can instead speak positively of your own.
- Members must be sober enough to carry on a conversation when they attend.
Safety:
- Unwanted advances, contacting members without their permission, aggressive questioning, and all other inappropriate or aggressive behavior is prohibited.
Removal and Bans:
- People who are not known to the Host must have audio and camera on when entering.
- Trolls will be removed immediately. Recording the event is not allowed.
- GFC reserves the right to deny our services to anyone for any reason.
- GFC is not liable for any harm alleged by any member.
- Members may be banned for a day, a week, a month, or indefinitely, depending on the severity of the offense.

We play a simple Table Topics game. It is an easy, fun way to practice speaking with an encouraging group.
This hour leans toward our shy and socially anxious members, so the pace is gentle and nobody is put on the spot. Every voice is welcome.Anytime: breakout rooms
We keep breakout rooms open the whole time. If the main activity feels like too much, or you just want to swap stories with people from around the world, you can slip into a smaller group and chat.
Both are great. You choose.Come as you are. Stay as long as you like. Leave with a friend or two.
