Prominent community figures who have integrated the joy that comes from stillness into their personal and work lives will be sharing their insights in a series of Saturday afternoon conversations at GRC.
Andrew Powell is a retired physician, psychiatrist and psychotherapist, having held consultant posts in London and Oxford. He is Founding Chair of the Spirituality and Psychiatry Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, now one of the largest in the college with over 5,000 members. It serves as a forum for exploring spiritual challenges presented by psychiatric illness, and how patients’ spiritual concerns can best be addressed. Andrew is the author of The Ways of the Soul.
