🌙 Night Hike #3: Historic Delft, Forests & Polders 🏛️🌿
Join us for a relaxed Friday evening hike combining Delft’s historic canals and city centre with the peaceful green surroundings of Delftse Hout—followed by optional drinks together afterwards!
Our circular walk starts and finishes at Delft Centraal. We’ll begin among Delft’s historic streets and canals before continuing towards quieter paths, woodland, waterways and open polder scenery.
We’ll start while it is still light and continue after sunset, giving us a beautiful combination of history, nature and night hiking.
Whether you’re new to Delft, looking to expand your social circle, or simply enjoy walking outdoors and meeting new people, you’re very welcome to join.

🥾 What to expect
• Approximately 8–10 km
• Around 2–2.5 hours, including short stops
• A moderate but mostly flat route
• A mixture of paved, gravel and unpaved paths
• A relaxed but steady walking pace
• Walking before sunset and after dark
• A friendly and social atmosphere
No previous hiking experience is required, but you should be comfortable walking up to approximately 10 km.
Depending on the group’s pace, weather and trail conditions, the route may be adjusted slightly.

📍 Meeting point
Delft Centraal train station
We will meet directly at the station and begin the hike together from there.
The location is easily accessible by public transport. If you’re coming by car, please check nearby parking options before arriving.
The exact meeting pin will be shared with participants before the event and in our WhatsApp group.

Friday, 11 September 2026
Meeting time: 7:00 PM
We will wait approximately 15 minutes for everyone and begin the hike at around 7:15 PM.
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start together. We expect to finish between approximately 9:30 and 10:00 PM.

🍻 After the hike: Drinks & Socialising
After completing the route, anyone who would like to stay can join us for a drink in Delft city centre.
The drinks afterwards are completely optional—feel free to join only for the hike as well.
The goal is simple:
Outdoors + meeting new people + socialising.

• A flashlight or headlamp—a phone flashlight is also fine

• A light jacket

Some parts of the route are unpaved and may be muddy, particularly after rain. Parts of the route may also have limited lighting after sunset.
