🏰 Water & Castles Hike – Discover the Muiderberg Route! 🌿

Join us for a scenic walk around the beautiful Muiderberg area, combining Dutch countryside charm, castle views, and the tranquil waters of the Markermeer.

🥾 What to expect:
• A circular route of ~10.8 km
• Walk around the grounds of Muiderslot Castle 🏰 (free-to-access areas, outside only)
• Flat, easy paths – suitable for all skill levels
• Lakeside views and peaceful polder landscapes 🌾
• Great photo opportunities 📸

📍 Starting point:
Parkeerplaats Vestingplein
Vestingplein, 1398 VE Muiden (near Muiderslot Castle)
We’ll begin the loop from this parking area.

🕚 When:
Saturday, September 20th, 2025
Meeting time: 11:00 AM at the parking area
We’ll wait about 30–45 minutes before starting the hike, so expected departure around 11:30–11:45.

🚗 Getting there:
Driving or public transport to Muiden (check Google Maps for the best options).
Parking is available at the start point (Parkeerplaats Vestingplein) and also at other parking areas nearby — feel free to choose whichever is most convenient.

ℹ️ Please note:
• We will not go inside Muiderslot Castle as part of this hike. If you’d like to visit, please plan it before or after.
• We will walk around the castle grounds where access is free.
• We will not visit Pampus Island during this event. If you want to go, please arrange separately.
