VVS Mountain to Sea, Graveyard Ridge, Art Loeb, Black Balsam, Tennent

Meet at the Looking Glass Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway at 9:15am. Our hike will begin at 9:30am.

We will take the MST to Skinny Dip Falls and continue to the Graveyard Ridge Trail. At Black Balsam Junction we return to the MST, join the Art Loeb trail for our ascent up Black Balsam. Remaining on the Art Loeb we will cross over Tennent and descend to the Graveyard Ridge Trail back to the MST and return to our cars. This route allows us to avoid the Greasy Cove Trail descent which is a knee crusher as well as avoid the tricky Big East Fork bank crossing (though I will return to this trail in the summer).

This hike has mountain streams and phenomenal views.
