(MS) DuPont - Rock Quarry & Cedar Rock Loops

This is a double-loop hike starting at Corn Mills Shoals access to the rock outcrop above the old DuPont Rock Quarry for a rim side view down into the old quarry. Perhaps someone will crawl out and look over the edge? After our break we will continue along various trails to ascend Cedar Rock Mountain to take in a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains looking toward Mt. Pisgah.

Please form carpools at Publix Supermarket across from Mr. Salsa Restaurant at 8:45 and depart promptly at 9:00. Solo hikers can meet the group at Corn Mills Shoals access at 9:45. Please comment if you are driving Solo.

First time hikers must call the hike leader for a hiking orientation.
