3rd annual Hike Leader Social

3rd Annual Hike Leader Appreciation and recruitment pool party!

This event in a social setting is for hike leaders to share experiences & tips with other hike leaders and discuss ways to continually improve our hike program. Members who are interested in becoming a hike leader are also encouraged to join!

This year, one of our members is graciously allowing this event at his home and backyard pool in Easley off Lake Road- address to be posted prior to the event. We will have a variety of finger foods (meat and vegetarian) and beverages (alcoholic and non). Come relax, have a swim, and socialize with other hike leaders.

Only active hike leaders and those who are genuinely interested in leading hikes will be added to the event. Our club is seeking to fill the hike schedule. The goal of this event is for hike leaders to openly discuss future plans for the club, and how we can consistently get hikes on the schedule for our club members. This is also an opportunity of new and prospective hike leaders to learn what goes into planning a hike and perhaps even connecting with a hike leader to mentor, pre-hike, or potentially co-lead a future hike. If you are a hike leader but have stopped leading hikes due to health, seasons of life, or bad experiences, we’d love to have you out and talk about other ways you can serve by mentoring new hike leaders, sharing your knowledge of the trails, or organizing guest speaker events.

There aren’t hikes without active hike leaders, and we appreciate all you do to volunteer your time to explore new trails and share these with our GNHA club members.

1. Sign up on the waitlist and we’ll confirm that you are an active or previous hike leader. If you’re not a current hike leader, our hosts will contact you to gauge your interest.
2. After you’re confirmed as an active or prospective hike leader, we’ll add you to the “Going List.”
