The hike starts behind the nature center and goes through the woods, across streams and UP a new trail to the top of Stool Mountain where we will enjoy views including Table Rock from below. Most of the elevation for the hike is in the last 2 miles.

Miles 6.0, EG: 1424, Rating: S

Drive miles: RT mileage from University Square 5000 Old Buncombe Rd. is 52 miles. Suggested carpool fee is $4.00.

Hikers wanting to carpool can comment below. A suggested place is 5000 Old Buncombe Rd. in the Publix shopping center across from Mr. Salsa.
