(VVS) Shining Creek Path, Old Butt Knob Trail

Details
(VVS) Shining Creek Path to Shining Rock return via Old Butt
Please meet at the Shining Creek Path parking lot off of Highway 276 by 9:15am. Our hike will begin at 9:30.
We will ascend Shining Creek Path to Shining Rock for lunch. Shining Creek Path features Shining Creek with various water cascades with a lush green, deep forest. Shining Rock, around 6000 feet in elevation, features huge white quartz boulders with almost 360-degree views. We will stop for lunch on Shining Rock. We will return via Old Butt which is ridiculously steep and can be hard on the knees.
If there is interest, we will meet at Oscar Blues in Brevard for drinks and food after the hike.
If you have not hiked with me in the past, please contact me via the messenger tool on the Meetup App or at cliff@argylemultimedia.com. I will inquire of your recent hike history and general fitness. This hike is tough with significant climbing and technical challenges due to a bunch of rocks and roots, some boulder climbing, and mountain stream crossings.
Pace: 2.5mph
Miles: 10.25
