(S) Pre-AGM HIKE - Laurel Fork Gap to the Oconee Bells - 6M / 1000 EG

Pre- AGM hike

The club's Annual General Meeting starts at 1 p.m. at Rocky Bottom Conference Center. We will have plenty of time to hike and make it over for the event.

This hike will start at Laurel Fork Gap.
We'll hike down to Virginia Hawkins Fall on the FHT and stop for a photo op or just take in the view. Then we'll continue on a few miles to see the Oconee Bells (they should still be in bloom). We'll return by a similar route.

*** Parking is limited at the trail head so we'll meet at Laurel Valley parking lot to minimize cars at the top. Also the road to the Gap parking area can be rough so it is best to have a vehicle with a bit of clearance. ***

Carpool will take place at 8am at carpool location. Meet at University Square Publix at 7:45 am with departure at 8 am. This is where any food made for the event will be picked up by Angela /Food Runners to bring to the event. If you have food especially crockpots, please meet at the carpool location.

If you are not meeting at the carpool, please meet at the trailhead at 9 am.
