(S) Pisgah Twin Falls Hike
Hike starts on Forest Service Rd FS477 at parking lot after you pass the Horse Stables at Buckhorn Gap Trailhead. We travel down trail to Avery Creek trail up to Avery Creek Falls then back down to Twin Falls Trail. Falls are tall and impressive with ability to see both falls from a single location. Then on to Clawhammer Road and down to Clawhammer Cove. We head upstream then cross creek to Buckhorn Gap trail and out to cars. Walk is very pleasant thru mature forest along different creeks with great views of the forest and distant ridge lines. Many bridge crossings. Wildflowers should still be visible in late April.

Carpoolers meet at Publix University Square at 5000 Old Buncombe Rd. Arrive early for on time departure at 8:00. Others can meet at Pisgah Ranger Station and Visitors Center at 9:15 on Hwy 276 just North of Hwy 64 where we will consolidate into fewer cars to drive to trailhead.

After hike food and refreshments at either Ecusta Brewery or Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard just off Hwy 64 near intersection with Hwy 276.

Please respond with your meeting location either Publix or Pisgah Visitors Center
