(VS) Eastatoe Passage & Raven Rock - Jocassee Gorges & Keowee-Toxaway SP
Details
The hike will start at Keowee-Toxaway State Park and hike along the Natural Bridge Trail past Poe Creek Falls and take the Raven Rock Trail to the junction with the Palmetto Trail. From there we take the Palmetto Trail toward Little Eastatoe Creek in Jocassee Gorges. We will continue past Triple Falls to the Roy Jones Road bridge where we'll stop for lunch along Little Eastatoe Creek. Retracing our steps, we will return and take the Raven Rock Trail to Raven Rock Overlook for a great view of Lake Keowee. From there we will retrace our steps to rejoin the Natural Bridge Trail where we will pass numerous waterfalls on the way back to the parking area and our vehicles. We will hike at a moderate pace of around 2.25 mph depending on the terrain and trail conditions.

We will meet at University Square across from Mr. Salsa at 8:00 AM to form carpools and leave by 8:15 AM for the 45 minute drive to Keowee-Toxaway State Park.
If you prefer to meet at the trailhead, please arrive no later than 9:00 AM for a 9:15 hike start. Search Google maps for “Natural Bridge/Raven Rock Trailhead” in Keowee-Toxaway State Park located off SC Route 11 south just before Lake Keowee.
Please indicate in the comments section whether you are meeting at University Square or the Keowee-Toxaway parking lot no later then the day prior to the hike.
