We will hike the Alum Cave trail to Mt LeConte and then on to Myrtle point or Cliff Top Pt for lunch with a view. We will be returning by the same route.

Meet at University Square at 7:00 AM, Alum Cave Trailhead at 9:30. Parking pass is required, if you plan to drive you can
get one online or at the entrance visitors center for $5.

Parking could be a problem at the trailhead, there is an overflow lot beyond the regular lot.

After the hike we will stop for dinner at Bearwaters Bistro Creekside
4352 Soco Road Maggie Valley, NC 28751 before we return.

This group meets Wed at University Square Shopping Center. The hikes are scheduled 1 to 4 weeks in advance and target hikes which are 10 miles long and climb 2000 ft. We hike at approx. 2.5 MPH, faster or slower depending on terrain.
